I finally escaped Times New Roman! I am the person behind Fedote Ollar. Fedote Ollar is not a real person. It may one day be an LLC, which is legally considered a person, but as far as I know, there is not a 

real person named Fedote Ollar.

I am John, but people don't call me that. Who I am is not important and I have no desire to be famous or a public figure. I consider myself a Christian man, but others might dispute that because I may have different beliefs than them. What does it mean to be a Christian these days?

 

I'm not trying to give any answers. The only statement I feel comfortable making is the statement on my homepage, which hopefully remains unchanged. The statement I am referring to is my basic beliefs which are contained in the Nicene Creed and the Apostles' Creed. I have been to many churches, both Protestant and Catholic, though admittedly mainly in "mainstream" Protestant churches. I have heard a lot of sermons and lot of lessons and beliefs, many I agree with wholeheartedly, some I am less sure of. But what I am sure of are the beliefs in the Nicene Creed and Apostles' Creed. They are the foundation of my reality.

I created this website with Wix, and AI has been very helpful. This wouldn't be possible without AI basically doing it for me. I am not well-versed in computer science and I am not a programmer. I would say I have a baseline understanding of technology for someone in his 40s who uses computers and smartphones everyday, but doesn't really know what he's doing. The reason I am saying this is because when I tried to create my homepage, the assistant changed some text. I think I corrected it, but if my homepage changes or the text is wrong or anything like that, I want people to know I believe in the Nicene Creed and Apostles' Creed and try to say the Lord's Prayer multiple times throughout the day. Anything outside of that, whatever I may believe or whatever may be on this website, there may be some uncertainty or interference, but I believe in the Nicene Creed and Apostles' Creed and recite the Lord's Prayer. I think many people who consider themselves Christians agree on those basic tenets and I certainly do.

I came up with Fedote Ollar as a silly way to make some money. I don't know if it will work. I'm honestly kind of afraid. Should I be doing this? Well, I'm doing it for money, which is not a good reason to do anything, but I don't feel like I'm compromising myself or my beliefs. I'm not trying to give any answers or make any statements with any of this project or any works that may spring from it. I am not trying to rock the boat or change the world. I've just had some ideas and questions swirling around my head. Ideas and questions that feel a little scandalous, a little dangerous. But in addition to the three tenets of my faith and belief system, I believe God knows me and my heart and my soul better than even I do, so keeping these thoughts and questions to myself doesn't hide them from God, it hides them from you. I love and fear God and I hope this endeavor does not anger Him. But he already knows how I feel and He is my ultimate Judge, not you.

 

The only part of this I'm doing for money is taking the time to create this website and then eventually organize my thoughts and ideas into a book or product and sell it. I don't worship money, but I exist in this world and money does make that existence a little more palatable. I might add some buzzwords or maybe some slick marketing to get more eyes, but at its core, this is just a bunch of silly ideas and important questions I think are worth asking. It is not my intention to question or challenge God. If my works are successful and people read them or consume them in whatever form they may eventually take, they might challenge persons to question themselves and how they live and if their lives align with their beliefs, but that is not even really the intention. I am not here to make any judgments, statements, or accusations. Right now I am just a man typing into the void hoping I can afford shelter and food and maybe some niceties and stay safe while I'm on this Earth.
